About Me

Hey there, I’m Veronica! I’m thrilled you’re here. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 14 years of experience, but don’t worry—I’m not here to just throw around fancy terms. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive space where we can tackle life’s big and small changes, dial down the anxiety, and boost your overall well-being. I specialize in working with adolescents (ages 10 and up) and young adults—basically, I love helping people figure out how to adult (or teen) and thrive in the process.

One of my favorite tools is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which connects thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It’s like a treasure hunt for your mind, where we dig into your thoughts and beliefs, uncover their impact on your actions, and then work together to make those changes that make life just a little bit easier.

When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll probably find me outside—running, chasing after wildflowers, or wrangling my two kids (a 12-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl). I also have two dogs who make surprise appearances during sessions (no, they’re not licensed therapists, but they’re excellent listeners).

Oh, and in case you need to know: I’m a huge fan of romcoms (the cheesier, the better), can never say no to Mexican food (seriously, bring on the chips and salsa) or Thai food. Thai tea is basically my lifeblood. When I’m not working, you can find me hanging out with my husband and kiddos, trying to keep up with life’s wild journey.

If any of this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to chat and help you become the best version of yourself. I promise we’ll have some fun along the way.

**I’m proud to be an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, and I make sure that everyone—regardless of who they are—feels welcome in my space.

What was your path to becoming a therapist?

I have always found purpose and fulfillment in connecting and helping others feel less alone. In navigating through my own childhood trauma, I have come to realize that support along the journey is vital for peace and healing. I think that when we expose the shame we feel in safe places, we are able to begin the healing process. I became a therapist to ensure that others never have to experience this healing journey alone. I hope that my story is a reflection of hope.

What should someone know about working with you?

I bring a lot of experience and expertise to therapy but I value a trusting, authentic therapeutic relationship above all else. I do not try to push an agenda on you; I value your input and believe that, ultimately, you are the expert of your own life. I am here to walk alongside you and help navigate some really tough things with you. I feel it is the biggest honor in the world to be able to connect and help you navigate through this journey of life.

How do your own core values shape your approach to care?

In navigating through trauma as a young child, I learned some ineffective coping skills that left me with a lot of anxiety and mistrust as an adult. I feel everyone’s journey is unique, but I relate well to others who have had to navigate some really difficult life events as well. Most recently in my life, I experienced secondary infertility, which ultimately resulted in an IVF journey. I found myself in lonely, quiet waiting rooms often. I don’t want anybody else to feel alone; I will sit in the waiting room with you for whatever you may be trying to navigate at this time.

What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?

I am most excited about the accessibility of therapy thanks in large part to technology. I find the new apps, social media platforms, and artificial intelligence fascinating. I am also moved by others’ courage in sharing their stories on social media and breaking down the stigma of seeking mental health treatment.

I became a therapist to ensure that others never have to experience this healing journey alone.

I bring a lot of experience and expertise to therapy but I value a trusting, authentic therapeutic relationship above all else.
