About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 14 years of experience. I am dedicated to providing a safe space for client’s to process through major and minor life changes, discover new ways to help reduce anxiety and increase overall well being. One of my greatest passions is working with adolescents (ages 10 and up) and young adults. I believe in becoming the best version of yourself and have seen many clients thrive through our work together. I believe that my clients are the experts on their lives and I feel so grateful that they have chosen me to help guide them through various chapters of this life.

By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) I have been able to help my clients recover from depression and anxiety. CBT explores the links between thoughts, emotions and behaviors. In exploring your perceptions, thought patterns and beliefs we are then able to explore their impact on behaviors.

If what I have shared feels like a good fit for you, then please do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working with you and helping you to become the best version of you!

What was your path to becoming a therapist?

I have always found purpose and fulfillment in connecting and helping others feel less alone. In navigating through my own childhood trauma, I have come to realize that support along the journey is vital for peace and healing. I think that when we expose the shame we feel in safe places, we are able to begin the healing process. I became a therapist to ensure that others never have to experience this healing journey alone. I hope that my story is a reflection of hope.

What should someone know about working with you?

I bring a lot of experience and expertise to therapy but I value a trusting, authentic therapeutic relationship above all else. I do not try to push an agenda on you; I value your input and believe that, ultimately, you are the expert of your own life. I am here to walk alongside you and help navigate some really tough things with you. I feel it is the biggest honor in the world to be able to connect and help you navigate through this journey of life.

How do your own core values shape your approach to care?

In navigating through trauma as a young child, I learned some ineffective coping skills that left me with a lot of anxiety and mistrust as an adult. I feel everyone’s journey is unique, but I relate well to others who have had to navigate some really difficult life events as well. Most recently in my life, I experienced secondary infertility, which ultimately resulted in an IVF journey. I found myself in lonely, quiet waiting rooms often. I don’t want anybody else to feel alone; I will sit in the waiting room with you for whatever you may be trying to navigate at this time.

What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?

I am most excited about the accessibility of therapy thanks in large part to technology. I find the new apps, social media platforms, and artificial intelligence fascinating. I am also moved by others’ courage in sharing their stories on social media and breaking down the stigma of seeking mental health treatment.
